Hey Friends and Makers,
We have something new this year and really, the timing could not be better with all the uncertainty and anxiety surrounding tariffs and the general making it work as a maker in the Lower Mainland: we present our First Ever Maker’s Mixer Saturday March 15th from 7:30 to 10pm.
If you are involved in Handmade, Art and Design in Vancouver, come join us for an evening of chatting, strategizing, planning, networking and more. You don’t have to be a First Pick Handmade vendor to join us, the event is open to everyone.
We hope that thru this event, we can provide space for communication among fellow makers and artists, to share our successes and struggles, to plan and strategize tactics to mitigate the economic uncertainty and difficulties faced by our group.
Since we started First Pick Handmade, the needs of our designer community has been top of mind in planning and executing our markets and at this time, we are very excited to move this forward even more by facilitating a group social event. We hope that this is the first of many to come and that we can further advocate for our community through this event.

The ticket includes 2 zero-proof beverages so you don’t have to bring anything other than yourself and some business cards. We’re doing admission so that we have an idea of numbers to expect but tickets will be available at the door as well. We also want to avoid party crashers to ensure our limited time together remains as productive (and fun) as possible, so our admission will act as a gentle layer of security.
